A perfect evening

We finally had a PERFECT lake night! The wind is always a factor here in Vegas, and it is totally unpredictable!! Tuesday, there was little or no wind, so we decided to head to the lake with the Starley family. The water was so nice, and we found ourselves a great little cove.

Weekend w/ Grandma in Vegas

This last weekend, my mom came into town. Madison had a blast with her Grandma Marlene! Grandma spoiled her grand daughter rotten! Look at Madison in this pic....smiling from ear to ear!!

We headed over to the outlet mall off Charleston after the park. Madison tried to put this beanie on her head at one of the surf shops, but as you can see, she was having a bit of trouble getting it on all by herself!

We had a great weekend with Grandma Marlene, and we can't wait until she comes again! Thanks for coming on such short notice mom!! I love you!!:)

F.H.E. out at Lake Mead w/ friends

Family Home Evening out at Lake Mead last Monday. Every Monday night we dedicate time towards the family, and have a spiritual thought combined with some family fun! Usually, we have FHE with Tyler's family, but last Monday we decided to switch it up! We invited the Starley, Gibson, Hills, and Johnson families out with us on the boat. The Starley's also have a boat, so it works out well when we want to invite a bunch of people. We managed to have a great time, even though the water was a bit rough due to the wind, and the fact that we settled on a beach with a nude sun bathing man beside us...lol! At least the man was wearing a towel over himself! :)

4 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

It's our anniversary!! Tyler and I have been married for 4 years!!! Our wedding day was PERFECT in every way, and I love looking back at the pictures of our magical day, when we were sealed for Time and all ETERNITY in the San Diego Temple!! He is my Prince, and I'm so lucky to have married such an amazing man! Happy Anniversary honey...I love you!

RN Program!

I just found out a few weeks ago that I got into the nursing program at College of Southern Nevada. I am both excited and nervous! I am excited because I have worked really hard over the past 2 1/2 years to get to this point, but I am also nervous because this program is REALLY difficult! I hope that I will be able to get through it! I have known that I wanted to be a nurse for about 10 years now, but I just never had the guts to commit myself to doing it. I can't wait to be done! I know I need to enjoy the ride, but I can already feel the stress of my first semester as I prepare for the program. So, if you see me around, and I don't have a smile on my face, it's because I have a lot to learn and only so many hours to study it all in! Wish me luck!! :)

Tyler's 30 and Richard's 60!!

RICHARD'S 60th BIRTHDAY!
Last weekend we celebrated my Father in-law's 60th birthday here in Vegas!! Everyone came into town, and we had a great time!

Tyler's mom made 2 memory books for Richard! One included 60 reasons why we love him, and the other was a scrap book with pictures of him and the family over his lifetime! It was a great gift, and he really LOVED it!!

Richard rarely smiles like this for pics, but I just happened to capture this great smile in between his silly faces!!Saturday we headed to the Fab 4 show of the Beatles, and it was GREAT! Then, we went to Outback for some yummy dinner! This is a picture of the gang less Brook, who had to leave a little early! The month of April is a bit nuts in Tyler's family!! We have 5 Birthdays to celebrate, so it is a busy month! We had them bring out 5 ice cream sundaes! There were more people at the table with sundaes than there were without! So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to: Sue, Richard, Tyler, Jeff, and Spring!!

Tyler's 30th BIRTHDAY

Tyler turned 30 on March 9th...we are FINALLY the same age again! I took him out to dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, and then to see Fast and Furious! Our steaks were delicious!! My awesome friend Michelle watched Madison for us so we could have a blissful night! Thanks Michelle!!

Tyler asked for a nice Leatherman this year, so that is what I got him!

I made him some yummy cupcakes! I asked if he wanted to take some to work, and he said NO! He wanted them all to himself! I told him there were 24 cupcakes and I didn't think he would be able to eat them all by himself! After some convincing, he reluctantly took these cupcakes to work with him to share!!

I also got him some shirts, but they didn't fit very well, so I will be taking those back and getting him some different ones!
