Today I exercised my right to vote, and it felt great! As I left, I walked by a young girl who said, "thank you for voting." I replied, "thank you to you too!" As I continued on my way I heard her shout, "did you Ba-rock the vote?" I turned and said, "excuse me?" She repeated herself, did you Ba-rock the vote?" I replied simply, "NO, I ROCKED the vote, and I voted for McCain!" She replied with, "oh, OK!" Ha, I think I was as stunned by her question as she was by my answer! Have any of you heard this clever little question?

Trick or Treat!!
Official Halloween trick or treat night!! Madison loved getting candy, and asks everyday, "can we go trick or treating today?" I guess I can't blame her for thinking that, considering we have been 3 times in a 1 week period!! She also asks if we can go to Disneyland almost everyday since we first went 3 weeks back. I guess we might need to invest in some season passes!! Now I just have to train her to ask her dad in the cutest way possible, so he can't say no...lol!
Scary faces...Madison loves to make this face! Mom looks seriously scary!! I almost didn't post it because I look so scary, but I decided to be brave! :)

Look at my little girl trick or treating like a big girl! Ha, just after this pic was taken, she ran to dad and asked him to hold her because she got scared! She does NOT like masks, and anyone wearing one was SO NOT her friend last night!
Aunt Brook's house! Brook was dressed as a cheerleader, and she was one HOT cheerleader!!
PHEW...Madison was pooped after trick or treating 15 houses...she needed a break!! This is her kickin' it on Grandma and Grandpa's bed watching toons! :)

California Adventure!
Last Thursday, we went to Disney's California Adventure Halloween night. We went with Tyler's family, and we had a blast! This is us at dinner in down town Disney before entering the park.

Madison is obsessed with all the Disney princesses! This girl was just dressed up as Belle, and she looked so legitimate, that we thought she worked for Disney. It turned out that she was just a park goer, but she was more than gracious when asked to pose for a picture with Madison. This made Madison's night!! Thanks Princess Belle!
It was a long night for a 2 year old, so she decided to take a rest on daddy's BIG brainy noggin'!!
Madison and daddy on the bumper cars. She was upset about having to put the lap bar down, because it put her out of reach of the steering wheel. Just another example of our highly opinionated child!! : )

We painted!!
Well, we started painting our house...phew! It took us 3 days (working at night) just to get 3 walls and a nook area done. We learned some painting tricks though, and the tricks worked well. The best trick we learned was to use caulking in the crease between the tape and the ceiling and where the baseboards meet the wall. This trick ensures perfect lines in the end - a lot of preparation, but well worth the result! It was a lot of work, but we saved a ton of money doing it ourselves. We also used the top line of Sherwin Williams paint, and that was worth the extra money as well. I love the color, and I am excited to have a little color on the walls! We are going to do some rock work on the bare wall you see in the photos, but we haven't decided on the rock color or style just yet. We are also in the process of ordering curtains for the windows and the slider, but they are on back order...ugh! Anyway, I just wanted to post the portion we have completed thus far, so here it is...

I GOT LIPS!
I was on the phone tonight trying to get a babysitter for Saturday, I walk into my room, and there's Madison with my mascara!
Me: Madison, what are you doing? Oh my gosh, did you put mascara on?
Madison: Hi mom, I'm putting on your make-up! Look, I got lips!!
As you can see, she got a good amount of mascara on. Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee......

This is what she had out. She is such a stinker!

Pictures over the last week!
I love this picture of Madison! Huh, if only there wasn't a booger in her nose...lol!!
Look how big she is?!! She looks huge to me lately!
This is how I found her sleeping today! I just had to take a picture of my little tush (her nick name). If you were wondering, I'm BIG tush! :)
Look at the insane amount of books Madison insists upon having in her crib before her nap! She makes me put every last one in!!!
This is how I found her 2 days ago when I went to get her up from her nap. The little skipper can read!!
Helping dad put the new stools together! She loves to help her dad with projects.

Life jacket...check, milk...check, smile...check, perfect day at the lake...check!!

SAN DIEGO....SUPER CHARGERS!!!
We had good seats, and the Chargers worked the Jets...it was a fun game! Our brother in-law Jeff loves ebay, and on Friday night, he decided to see if he could get some Charger tickets on ebay...and, he did! The parking was rediculous, and I think I lost a pound just from the walk there and back(all uphill), but it was worth it!
Tyler didn't really want to take a picture, but I made him! :)

Bethany and I were talking about how it would have been so fun to be an NFL cheerleader! Look at those bodies...they inspire me to get out and work it!!DISNEYLAND!!
This last weekend, we went to California to visit Bethany, Jeff, and Alexa in Laguna Beach. We went to the beach on Friday, Disneyland on Saturday, my parent's house on Sunday, and the Charger game on Monday...it was a really busy weekend, but it was really fun!! We ate t Jeff's restaurant Friday night and Sunday morning...it is some of the best food I have ever had...no exaggeration! If you are ever in Dana point, you should go. It is called the RENAISSANCE -- they have live music every night, and they are great bands. Thanks Jeff and Bethany for showing us a good time!! Thanks to Courtney (Jeff's cousin) for getting us into Disney for free, and for hooking up the meeting with Princess Belle and Mickey Mouse privately without waiting in line -- you're awesome!!

Standing in line can be exhausting for a 2 year old!!
She loved riding Dumbo, but none of the pictures of her actually riding Dumbo turned out!
She got to meet Princess Belle one on one, and she was a bit leary at first. Look at her eyes in this photo...she doesn't quite trust her yet!
Princess Ariel...I thought she was the prettiest princess of them all!

She kept closing her eyes when I would try to get her to look at the parade...what a stinker!

She didn't like Mickey Mouse at all...we had to coax her to sit there for the picture.
At this point, she was done...really done! Her exact words were, "I'm all done. I want to go bye-bye!" She repeated this over and over. Poor little girl! Boy was she relieved when we left Mickey's house!!
